Colouring with markers is all the rage in the cardmaking world and Tobi is here to de-mystify and shed some light on the sometimes difficult world of alcohol markers. If you've taken a Copic class with Tobi before - that is great,if you're brand-new to all of this - that's great too! Tobi will start the first part of the class at 6:00 if you need some information on the numbering systems/colour familes and some technical information, then at 6:30 the second part of the class will start and you'll start your colouring adventure and make 4 beautiful cards.

You've taken some beginner Copic classes and you're hungry for more... You want to learn new techniques like: how to use the airbrush system, how do I use multiple colours on one image and what's the scoop with "no-line colouring" and how do I do it? Using some brand-new stamps from Stampendous we'll explore the subtle nuances that "expert" Copic artists apply to their colouring and how you can apply them to your stamping. Previous experience is necessary (take the beginners class called It's All About Colour) and you should have some of your own markers to bring to class.

Life Is Art Canvas

This is the second project in a series of classes Tobi is offering on Mixed Media Painting. You do not need to have taken the first class, nor do you need painting experience - Tobi will give you a lot of pointers. There are no hard-and-fast rules with mixed media and what's more, you get to express yourself like an artist even if you don't have the technical drawing skills some of the greats do. If you're looking at the samples and thinking to yourself "I wish I could that" YOU CAN! Once you try mixed media painting you are hooked - trust us! As an added bonus all of your paints and consumable materials are INCLUDED IN THE KIT, but if you wish to change out the colours you are more than welcome to bring your own.

Grungy Spellbook Cover & Pages

Journals are not only about pages – altering the cover of the book is an important part of the creative process, making the frame, closing (or opening?) the composition. Cover should reflect the owners emotions and personality as well as the book's content – which is a great reason to try some inspiring techniques and create something unique, magical and 100% fun. During this class I'll tell you about my ideas for journaling, and share my ideas how to alter a raw journal to get appealing and durable mixed media cover based on a bunch of my favorite techniques such as creating texture with gels and stencils, grungy embellishments and found objects, painting and spraying. I'll show you different effect you can get using media such as pigments, acrylic paint and common soft pencils together with multipurpose glues or varnish.

Imagine Mixed Collage Canvas

Do you ant to create really artsy, dimensional nad grungy collage, but you don’t have “suitable supplies?” That is not a problem! The most important thing in creative proces is using imagination. We are surrounded by inspiring objects, which we can use for creating art of different kinds. Try to look around – and you’ll find real treasures in your own house! Remember there are no boundaries: you may give as much or as little elements as you want, you may use medias, paint and inks…and whatever comes to your mind too! Don’t be afraid to mix and blend and let your imagination free – it is pure fun! During this workshop I will guide you to create your own mixed-media canvas, including my favorite set of embellishments and textures, colored with my favorite paints and mixed-media products. I’ll demonstrate possibilities of mixing different supplies such as gesso, gel medium, spray paint, scrapbooking embellishments and found objects to get layers, details and unique, grungy look on your project.
